Valley Jazz Voices
Valley Jazz Voices brings together singers and audiences who are passionate about jazz vocal music.
Directed by Jeff Olmsted, we perform a rich and diverse repertoire in four part harmony, drawing from swing, bebop, cool, Brazilian and pop-inspired jazz arrangements. Based in Northampton, Massachusetts, Valley Jazz Voices is the largest community jazz vocal ensemble in Western Mass.
Sharing the Joy of Vocal Jazz
Valley Jazz Voices provides the unique opportunity for singers to come together in a community that is passionate about jazz. We sing jazz vocal arrangements in a group, we learn exciting four-part harmonies and arrangements, develop jazz vocal techniques, learn about historical styles, and have opportunities to perform solos. The repertoire draws from well known favorites as well as newer and lesser known jazz vocal repertoire.
